1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 1) covers the extraction and the physical and chemical requirements of pulverized fuel ash for use as pozzolana for manufacture of cement and for part replacement of cement in cement mortar and concrete.

1.2 Pulverized fuel ash to be used as pozzolana in cement, cement mortar and concrete in accordance with this standard shall be fly ash only which may be either in as collected condition or beneficiated, segregatedor processed.
