NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (second revision) which is modified adoption of ISO 4049 : 2019 ‘Dentistry - Polymer-based restorative materials’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Dentistry Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1981 and revised in 2019. The second revision has been undertaken to align it with latest edition of ISO 4049 : 2019. After publication of this standard, IS 10011 : 2019/ISO 4049 : 2009 stands withdrawn.
