IS 10028 : Part 2 : 1981 Code of practice for selection, installation and maintenance of transformers; Part 2 Installation

1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part II) covers guidance on installation of distribution and power transformers covered by IS : 1180-1964 and IS 2026 (issued in various parts)-1977 respectively.

1.2 Special purpose tranformers such as gas cooled, synthetic liquid insulated, dry and mining tranformers, and instrument transformers are excluded from the scope of this code. In such cases, maufacturers' instructions shall be strictly followed.
