1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard (Part I) covers general requirements regarding manufacture, finish, freedom from defects, length, medium cuts and short pieces, width, contract moisture regain, corrected net mass, sampling testing and inspection, criteria for conformity, and packing and marking for jute convas.

1.1.1 The specific requirements of different varieties of the fabric are covered in subsequent parts of the standard.
