1 Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the requirements regarding material,sizes, construction, workmanship, finish, inspection and testing oftimber door shutters with timber, plywood, blockboard, veneeredparticle board, asbestos cement sheet, wire gauge and glass panelsused in domestic buildings, offices, schools, hospitals, etc. Theshutters could be single panelled or multi-panelled with or withoutglazing.

1.2 This standard does not cover timber door shutters forindustrial and other special buildings, such as, workshops andgarages.
