NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2/Sec 1) (Second Revision) which is identical with CISPR 16-2-1 : 2014 ‘Specification for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods - Part 2-1: Methods of measurement of disturbances and immunity - Conducted disturbance measurements’ issued by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 1982 based on CISPR 16-2 and subsequently revised in 1999. CISPR 16-2 has been withdrawn by IEC and replaced by CISPR 16-2-1 series. Hence this standard has also been splitted into different sections.
The text of CISPR of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as decimal marker.
