IS 10082 : 1981 Method of test for the determination of tensile strength by indirect tests on rock specimens

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the methods for the determination oftensile strength of rocks by indirect tests on rock specimens,namely, Brazilian Test, Ring Test, Point Load Test and Line LoadTest.

1.2 The tests may be carried out either in the laboratory or atthe drilling site.
