1. Scope

1.1 This standard lays down guidelines on the types, materials, construction and selection of various types of metal containers used as unit packs and bulk packs for materials.

1.2 The types of metal containers covel"ed in this code have been classified as under:

a)Tins and cans;

b} Drums;

c) Metal crates, hampers and trays; and

d) Metal collapsible tubell and rigid tubes.
