1 SCOPE

This standard (Part 1) covers general requirements for materials, sizes, methods of test and inspection and marking of all types of fabricated PVC-U fittings for jointing with solvent cement and elastomeric sealing ring joints to the PVC pipes covered in IS 4985, for potable water supplies. This specification covers the sizes of fittings from 20 to 630 mm.
