1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part I) covers the general requirements of the method of measurement of the dielectric properties of insulating materials at frequencies above 300 MHz.

1.2 This standard applies to the procedure for the determination of relative permittivity,and the dielectric dissipation factor and of quantites related to them, such as loss index, of dielectric materials in the microwave frequency region.
