1 Scope

This specifies a method for checking that the thickness of adried film of paint on a test panel lies within the limitsspecified to the relevant tests. The measurement is obtained byreference to a graph showing the relationship between filmthickness and film mass of the material under test. This method isintended for use with air-drying paints which produce films thatrequire several days before they are sufficiently hard to permitthickness measurements by instrumental methods.
