This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 228-2 : 1987`Pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are not made on thethreads - Part 2: Verification by means of limit gauges, issued bythe International Organization for Standardization (ISO) wasadopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on 3 August 1988 on therecommendation of the Screw Threads Sectional Committee (EDC 70)and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division Council.
