IS 10229 : 1982 Specification for Open End V-belts

1 Scope

Covers the main characteristics of open end V-belts used whereno take-up allowance is provided or for easy dismantling andinstallation.

1.1 Open-end V-belts are used in place of conventional endlessV-belts, in Section Y, Z, A, B, C, and D, for even normal drives inthe event of an emergency.

1.2 V-belts conforming to this specification shall be suitablefor operating at ambient temperatures between -80�Cto +60�C.
