IS 10276 : 2024/IEC 60238 : 2016 Edison Screw Lampholder
[Superseding IS 10276 (Part 1) : 1982, & IS 10276 (Part 2) : 1982]
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical to IEC 60238 : 2016 'Edison screw lampholders' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Wiring Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.
This standard was published in 1982 in two parts as following:
(Part 1) Requirements and tests
(Part 2) Standard data sheets for lamp holders and gauges
This revision supersedes both parts and has been taken to bring them in line with the latest IEC.
The text of IEC standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, they should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
