1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the details of design and constructionof floors and roofs using precast reinforced and prestressedconcrete ribbed/cored slab units. This standard is intended tosupplement the requirements for design and construction alreadycovered by IS 456 : 1978 and IS 1343 : 1980 and other relevantcodes for reinforced/prestressed concrete structures.
