This lndian Standard which is identical with ISO 6749 : 1984`Earth-moving machinery - Preservation and storage', issued by theInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted bythe Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the BulkHandling Equipment Sectional Committee (HMD 7) and approval of theHeavy Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

This Indian Standard was first published in 1982. Consequentupon the revision of ISO standard, this standard is being revisedby adopting the ISO standard under dual number system.
