Covers the dimensiona], constructional, functional andqualitative requirements of metal wire reinforced, formed asbestosgland packing rings intended for use in valves to contain non-toxicgases, fluids, slurries, etc, at different temperatures andpressure ranges.

1.1 The asbestos gland packing rings covered by this standardare not applicable for food industry.
