IS 10512 : 2003 Method for Determination of Wax Content in Bitumen - Specification

1 Scope

This standard prescribes a method used for determining theparaffin wax content of bitumen. The method is applicable tobitumens having paraffin wax with melting point above 25°C.

Note - Paraffin waxes include only those hydrocarbonscrystallizing in an ether/ethanol mixture at temperatures down to-20?C, obtained by a specified process and having amelting point of
above 25?C.
