NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 60599 : 2022 ‘Mineral oil-filled electrical equipment in service - Guidance on the interpretation of dissolved and free gases analysis’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fluids for Electrotechnical Applications Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1978. The second revision of this standard was brought out in 2006 subsequently third revision in 2018. The fourth revision has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of IEC 60599 : 2022.
