IS 10624 : 1983 High voltage fuse-links for motor circuit applications

1 Scope

1.1 This standard applies primarily to fuse-links used withmotors, started direct-on-line on alternating current systems of 50Hz.

Note - When motors are used with assisted starting, thisspecification can also be applied but particular attention shouldbe paid to the selection of the rated current of the fuse-link (see8.1) and the manufacturer of the fuse-link should preferably beconsulted.

1.2 Fuse-links according to this specification are intended towithstand normal service conditions and motor starting pulses. Theyshall comply with the requirements of IS 9385 : Part 1 : 1979.
