NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 3) (Fourth Revision) which is identical with ISO 22514-3 : 2020 ‘Statistical methods in process management - Capability and performance - Part 3: Machine performance studies for measured data on discrete parts’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Statistical Methods for Quality and Reliability Sectional Committee and approval of the Management and Systems Division Council.

This standard was originally published as IS 10645 (without parts) in 1983 and subsequently revised in 1998 and 2004. The third revision in 2016 was undertaken to align it with ISO 22514 series. The fourth revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 22514-3 : 2020.
