IS 10659 : 1983 Specification for DC Bridges for Measuring Resistance

1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements of dc bridges formeasuring resistance from 0.1 to 100 000 Ohms. It also applies toauxiliary equipment which is a built-in part of the bridge.

1.2 This standard does not apply to bridge comparators nor toself-balancing bridges nor to those which emply graduations on thenull detector to obtain a part of the indicated value, nor toexternal auxiliary equipment used with the bridge.

Note - A bridge comparator is a device intended to compare tworesistors, for example, a two arm adjustable ratio set.
