National Foreword

This Indian Standard (Part 34) which is identical with ISO 128-34 : 2001 ?Technical drawings -General principles of presentation - Part 34: Views on mechanical engineering drawings? issued byInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards onthe recommendation of the Drawings Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and GeneralEngineering Division Council.

ISO 128 was published in 1982 and was accordingly adopted as IS 10714 : 1983. ISO 128 : 1982 waswithdrawn and published again in several parts. In view of this, Drawings Sectional Committee decidedto adopt ISO 128-.34 : 2001 as IS 10714 (Part 34).

This standard specifies rules for the presentation of views additional to those of ISO 128-30 andapplicable to mechanical engineering drawings that follow the orthographic projection methods specifiedin ISO 5456-2. Attention has also been given to reproduction requirements, including those of microcopyingaccording to ISO 6428.

The other parts of this series aregiven as follows:
