This Indian Standard, which is identical with ISO 6520-1982`Classification of imperfections in metallic fusion welds, withexplanations', issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO), was adopted by the Indian StandardsInstitution on the recommendation of the Welding General SectionalCommittee and approved by the Structural and Metals DivisionCouncil.

Wherever the words `International Standard' appear, referring tothis standard, they should be taken as `Indian Standard'.
