1 Scope

1.1 Covers a method to determine the resistance to impact orshock of thermoplastic and elastomeric insulation or sheath at lowtemperature and frost.

1.2 This test is an alternative to cold bend test which isconsidered impracticable for insulation or sheath whose diameter islarger than 12.5 mm.
