This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which isidentical with IEC Pub 489-2 : 1991 `Methods of measurement forradio equipment used in the mobile services: Part 2 Transmittersemploying A3E, F3E or G3E emissions', issued by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the Bureau ofIndian Standards on the recommendation of Radio CommunicationsSectional Committee, LTD 20 and approval of the Electronics andTelecommunication Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1984 and was largelybased on IEC 489-2 : 1978. Consequent upon the revision of IEC489-2 : 1978 as IEC 489-2 : 1991, this standard is now beingrevised to align it with IEC 489-2
