1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard specifies the methods to be followed for the determination of the degradation index of iron oxides’ lump ores, sinter and pellets. Section 1 and Section 2 of this standard prescribe method for the determination for degradation index under static bed followed by cold tumbling whereas Section 3 of this standard prescribes the method for the determination for degradation index during tumbling.
