IS 1084 : 2005 Textiles - Manila Ropes - Specification

1 Scope

This standard prescribes the requirements of the following types ofelectromechanically made manila ropes:

a) Hawser-laid manila ropes of diameter 6 mm to 128 mm and with lineardensity from 32 to 11380 ktex.

b) Shroud-laid manila ropes of diameter 8 mm to 128 mm and with lineardensity from 54 to 11380 ktex.

c) Cable-laid manila ropes of diameter 40 to 144 mm and with a lineardensity from 1030 to 13105 ktex.
