This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 6484 : 1986`Earth-moving machinery - Elevating scrapers - Volumetric ratings',issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on therecommendations of the Bulk Handling Systems and EquipmentSectional Committee (HMD 7) and approval of the Heavy MechanicalEngineering Division Council.

This standard was first published in 1984, ISO 6484 : 1986 hasbeen adopted during this revision.
