This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 2720 : 1974 `Photography-General purpose photographic exposure meters (photoelectric type)- Guide to product specification', issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Indian Standards Institution on the recommendation of the Photographic Equipment Sectional Committee and approved by the Consumer Products and Medical Instruments Division Council.

Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.

Wherever the words `International Standard' appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as `Indian Standard'.
