1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods ofsampling and test for nitrocellulose (also known as cellulosenitrate or gun cotton) for general industrial use.

1.1.1 This standard does not cover nitrocellulose used in themanufacture of explosives.
