IS 11080 : 1984 Method for determination of porosity of paper

1 Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the method of test for porosity ofpaper.

1.2 This method is applicable to papers and boards that (underthe conditions specified) permit the passage of 100 ml of air in 5to 1 800 seconds. This method is not suitable for rough-surfacepapers such as creped and corrugated papers, which cannot besecurely clamped to avoid leakage.
