NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 7083 : 2021 ‘Technical product documentation — Symbols used in technical product documentation — Proportions and dimensions’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards after the draft finalized by the Drawings Sectional Committee had been approved by the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 1984 which was an identical adoption of ISO 7083 : 1983. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 7083.
