1. Scope

1.1 This standard( Part 3/Sec l ) covers guidelines for the development of system test procedures and suggest points to be considered by the equipment technical committees in the preparation of SpecifiC 1nstructions for the evaluation of electrical endurance of insulation systems for electrical equipment.

1.2 This standard presents background information on the electrical endurance of insulation systems and test procedures are suggested for the case where the electrical factor of influence .is a dominating ageing factor. Techniques for statistical treatment of normally distributed electrical endurance data are also suggested.
