FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC Pub 941 ( 1988 ) ‘Mechanical endurance functional tests for electrical insulation systems’, issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission ( IEC ) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electrical Insulation Systems Sectional Committee ( ET 04 ) and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

The text of IEC publication has been approved as suitable for publication as Indian Srandard without deviations. Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
