1. Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 7/Sec 1 ) is intended for use by equipment technical committees as a guide when developing functional test procedures for their Specific insulation systems for use in long life electrical equipment exposed to more than one factor ofinfluence in service.

NOTE - The need for a similar guide for short-life electrical equipment is under study

1.2 This guide contains recommendations regarding the sequence of actions and details of the procedures required for the specification of such tests.
