1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 12) prescribes a small rcale laboratoryprocedure for comparing the relative horizontal burningcharacteristics of rigid cellular thermal insulation material byexposing the specimen to a low energy source of heat.

1.1.1 It has no relevance to the environmental conditions underwhich rigid cellular thermal insulation materials may be usedeither singly or in conjunction with other materials.
