1 Scope

1.1 This standard (Part 2) specifies the particular performancerequirements for electroencephalographs and their associatedaccessories, intended for the production of detachable graphicrecording of electrical activity of the brain for diagnosticpurposes.

1.2 Special requirements concerning other equipments inelectroencephalography, such as phono-photic stimulators, EEGtelemetry, EEG Data Storage and Retrieval, EEG monitoring of thecritically ill, etc, are not covered by this standard.
