IS 11333 : 1985 Specification for Flameproof Dry Type Transformers For Use in Mines

1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers requirements for dry type flameproofthree-phase transformers intended for use below ground in mines andother hazardous areas.

Note - The transformers covered in this standard can also beused as trans-switch units with switchgears.

1.2 This standard does not apply to intrinsically safetransformers which are covered in IS 10406 : 1983.
