1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers positive list of constituents ofionomer resins, the manufacturing residues and necessary additiveswhich may be regarded, as safe for use when properly processed incontact with foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and drinking water whenpresent only in the prescribed limits of concentrations.

1.2 It does not purport to establish the suitability of theingredient singly and in a particular foodstuff from other thantoxicological considerations.
