This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 6982 : 1992`Hydraulic fluid power - Cylinders - Rod end spherical eyes -Mounting dimensions, issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of IndianStandards on the recommendation of Hydraulic Fluid Power SystemsSectional Committee and approval of the Production EngineeringDivision Council.
This Indian Standard was first published in 1985 and was basedon ISO 6982 : 1982 `Hydraulic fluid power - Cylinders - Rod endspherical eyes - Mounting dimensions. Consequent upon the revisionof above ISO standard, the sectional committee dealing with thesubject decided to revise the Indian Standard by adopting therevised ISO standard under dual numbering system.
