IS 11597 : 1986 Polyester tape wrapped, varnish bonded glass-fibre covered rectangular paper conductors

1 Scope

1.1 This standard relates to rectangular copper conductors whichare first wrapped by polyester tape (without any adhesive) inrequired thickness and subsequently covered with fibre glass andfinally bonded with suitable thermosetting varnish depending onrequired temperature index of the conductor as required by thepurchaser.

NOTE - Individual temperature indices and generic name ofvarnishes may be agreed between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
