IS 11603 : 2024/ISO 3622 : 1996 Ammonium Thiocyanate, Photographic Grade - Specification
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 3622 : 1996 'Photography - Processing chemicals - Specifications for ammonium thiocyanate' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Electroplating Chemicals and Photographic Materials Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
Ammonium thiocyanate is used as a photographic chemical and analytical reagent.
This standard was first published in 1986. In the preparation of this standard, assistance was derived from ISO 3622 : 1976 'Photographic grade ammonium thiocyanate - Specification', issued by the International Organization for Standardization.
Now this standard is being revised by adopting ISO 3622 : 1996 on dual number basis.
The text of ISO standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical with those used in Indian Standard. Attention is especially drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words 'International Standard' appear referring to this standard, it should be read as 'Indian Standard'; and
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
