This Indian Standard, which is identical with IEC Pub 340 (1979)`Test procedures for amplifiers and preamplifiers for semiconductordetectors for ionizing radiation' issued by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC), was adopted by the IndianStandards Institution on the recommendation of the NuclearInstrumentation Sectional Committee and approval of the Electronicsand Telecommunication Division Council.
Wherever the words `International Standard' appear, read to thisstandard, they should be read as `Indian Standard'.
