1 Scope

1.1 This standard applies to X-ray source assemblies and X-raytube assemblies containing rotating anode X-ray tubes, for use inmedical diagnostic radiology for techniques in which the X-raypattern will be received simultaneously over the image receptionarea.

1.2 Unless otherwise specified, this standard is applicable toan X-ray tube assembly with a brand new rotating anode X-ray tube.
