1. Scope

This standard (Part 1) specifies procedures for the sampling of fresh concrete. The samples are used for the testing of properties of fresh concrete, or for making test specimens to determine the properties of hardened concrete.

NOTE - The provisions of this standard shall not be applicable to concrete with special applications, such as pervious concrete.

The standards listed in Annex A contain provisions, which through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards aresubject to revision and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated in Annex A.
