This Indian Standard (Part 12) which is identical with IEC Pub617-12 : 1983 `Graphical symbols for diagrams - Part 12 : Binarylogic elements, issued by the International ElectrotechnicalCommission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards onthe recommendation of the Basic Standards, on Electronics andTelecommunication Sectional Committee (LTD 1) and approval of theElectronics and Telecommunication Division Council.

The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable forpublication as Indian Standard without deviations. Certainterminology and conventions are, however, not identical with thoseused in Indian Standards. Attention is specially drawn to This:

Wherever the words `International Standard appear, referring tothis standard, they should be read as `Indian Standard.
