IS 12035 : 1986 Code of safety in microbiological laboratories

1 Scope

1.1 This code recommends safety for microbiological laboratoriesengaged in research, teaching, hospital, pharmaceutical and qualitycontrol operations.

1.1.1 These guidelines are of a general nature and notcomprehensive enough to cover specific problems of safetyassociated with all pathogens of every description or research inmolecular biology.

1.1.2 Details of fire and chemical hazards are not covered inthis standard.
