1. SCOPE

This test method covers the determination of the softening point of bitumen, fluxed native asphalt, road tar, coal tar pitch and blown type bitumen using the ring-and-ball apparatus immersed in distilled water (up to 80 °C) or glycerine (above 80 °C)
