1 Scope

1.1 This standard covers the methods of test and performance requirements of hand held metal detectors used for determining thelocation of metal weapons carried on a person and in a smallpackage.

1.2 It does not cover metal detectors used for detecting This:

a) Wiring of explosives, and

b) Buried metals and metals in trenches.
